Unfiltered thoughts pt 9- 'Healing isn't Aesthetic, it's raw.'

 Hey there!

I’m back to pour you a cup of freshly brewed, perfectly unfiltered thought — Healing is not always pretty.

Recently, I came across an Instagram meme that said:

“Ye healing-hooling kuch nahi hota, ek cup chai pilado.”

And it instantly triggered something in my brain — because that’s damn true.

“Healing-hooling” is not as smooth as it sounds. It’s not always a feel-good thing. Although the word 'healing' sounds soothing to the ears, in practice, it often isn’t.

As humans, we witness others and ourselves cycling through grief and happiness. And in between lies healing — unnoticed, yet the only bridge between those two states.

Healing is usually associated with therapy sessions, yoga, journaling, or medicines. But lately, people seem to have cracked a new code: they are finding healing in a cup of tea, a short trip, a good book, or a heartfelt conversation.

And maybe that's what's healing. It's raw. Maybe you dont even know you're healing out of something you're aware of!

Ultimately — by any means — it's healing.

And what is healing? It’s simply RECENTERING.

Nothing but a refocus. On anything that isn’t grief. Anything that isn’t pain.

And most of the time, we’ve healed from major or minor things without even realising it.

It’s hard to heal. What may seem like a small loss to you might mean the world to someone else. Healing is difficult. It might cause you to relive that loss over and over again. Until you recenter. Until you refocus — on goals, whether they're spiritual, academic, professional, social, or personal.

My point?

Whatever the medium, heal — and help those around you heal.

The least — and the most — we can do for others:

If you notice someone distressed, gently ask about it.

If you know them well, initiate an effort to make them feel heard, understood, and supported.

Sometimes, even ask them directly: “What can I do for you?”

For yourself — Recenter.

(By any and all means.)

Speak to your loved ones. Let it out.

&

Have goals. (Big ones.)
