To whoemever it may concern..Letter 2- "A love letter to learning, not perfection."

I fell in love with learning the day I stopped trying to impress it.

Learning never demands. When I allowed myself to be wrong, confused, and unfinished, knowledge finally opened its doors to me. Perfection, I’ve realised, is only a peak stage of this love—one that requires consistency, not mere greed.

Dear Learning, you have amazed me every time. You have given me confidence, and you truly are someone who adds value to my life. You’ve given me my own identity. With you, I don’t have to worry about outcomes or judgments. It’s never the same with perfection, though it is far more glorified.

My eyes fill with rage when the world says that only perfection leads to success, and never mentions that it is you who makes success possible.

You have brought bright moments into my life. The things I once disliked now feel interesting with you. With you, everything comes to life. With you, everything feels meaningful. You have given me the most precious thing I own—my perspective.

What people often do today is simply a series of physical activities, with forced involvement of the mind, just to get things done quickly. The mind, poor thing, is commanded that way. I understand this short-term approach, especially among students, but to me, it feels disrespectful towards you. And perhaps that’s why so many people lack you.

You find yourself in a challenging, competitive world, constantly burdened by time. When I look at today’s systems, it feels as though your true essence has been buried beneath hustle and urgency. What was once a joyful pursuit has been reduced to endless practice, mastery, and task completion—drifting far from the creativity that once thrived.

It’s disheartening to see how easily people label you as “slow” or say someone is “still learning,” as if that is a flaw. But every step forward is part of a unique journey. Growth takes time. Growth needs nurturing.

You are not a delay.
You are the process that completes my life—any life.

Perfection may be a stage, I agree, but sometimes I find it nothing more than a myth. What truly drives one toward perfection is you, Learning. Without you, perfection cannot even exist.

You govern passion. You remind us that a person always remains a student. You have given me wisdom beyond books, and most of my achievements exist only because of you.

I owe you pursuit—forever.

Dear Learning, I promise to walk my entire life’s path with you beside me.
Always.

I love you, Learning.

-Yours truly.

Wow, how true are these words.
Never thought of talking to this unmachable companion of ours. You did it perfectly dear.
Learning is the only way to perfection and today learning is mear mugging up... Sad but true. Learning is an ocean one should dive in to never come out, Not the steps to reach the peak.
Great perspective Shrutika... Just loved it.
