Unfiltered thoughts pt. 10- "When motivation doesn't show up..."

Image
When Motivation Doesn’t Show Up Sometimes, you feel the drag, but you push through anyway. That’s what society expects of us—to keep going, regardless of whether we’re truly headed in the right direction. But I ask you— where’s the drive? Have you taken a moment to reflect on why you do what you do? What’s the purpose behind it all? Is it the quest for happiness, the desire to bring joy to those around you, or is it simply the act of doing itself? It’s a challenging question. I’ve spoken to people of all ages about their life’s purpose, and many struggle to articulate an answer. Yet, I’ve found clarity in the unspoken response: The Pursuit. If someone finds joy in their actions, why complicate things by demanding a concrete purpose? Embrace the pursuit. And remember— it’s normal to lose motivation now and then. Purpose Fuels Motivation The reality is that purpose drives motivation. When motivation doesn't show up-, it’s important to seek out your purpose. At times, life ...

Unfiltered thoughts pt 9- 'Healing isn't Aesthetic, it's raw.'

Image
Hey there! I’m back to pour you a cup of freshly brewed, perfectly unfiltered thought — Healing is not always pretty. Recently, I came across an Instagram meme that said: “Ye healing-hooling kuch nahi hota, ek cup chai pilado.” And it instantly triggered something in my brain — because that’s damn true. “Healing-hooling” is not as smooth as it sounds. It’s not always a feel-good thing. Although the word 'healing' sounds soothing to the ears, in practice, it often isn’t. As humans, we witness others and ourselves cycling through grief and happiness. And in between lies healing — unnoticed, yet the only bridge between those two states. Healing is usually associated with therapy sessions, yoga, journaling, or medicines. But lately, people seem to have cracked a new code: they are finding healing in a cup of tea, a short trip, a good book, or a heartfelt conversation. And maybe that's what's healing. It's raw. Maybe you dont even know you're healing out of somethin...

Let Your Thoughts Heal You – The Science of thoughts and Psychoneuroimmunology!

Image
Hey! I'm back again with an exciting life hack to help you become a superhuman! I'm sure you've experienced that overwhelming rush of thoughts that can distract or even emotionally disturb you. Today, I'm going to discuss one common issue related to our thoughts—and how to tackle it using your mind. You might have even heard about stories and legends winning life's hardest battles with just their willpower. And that's where the game begins. First off, give me a pat on the back for attempting to define a thought: “A series of neural signals that occur either on command or spontaneously, composed of different pieces of data stored in various regions of the brain, related to past experiences, present circumstances, or predictions about the environment.” And then, I settled with just calling it a thought .  Thoughts flow in and out effortlessly, like they’re on a mission and heavily paid to do so! Some originate from the Department of Dreams , while others a...

“Checkmate Your Mind: The Neuroscience of Chess and Cognitive Sharpness”

Image
"Every time you move on the chessboard, your brain makes a move too—strategizing, predicting, and recalibrating in real-time. But what if I told you that a simple game of chess acts as a mental gym workout, rewiring your brain for sharper thinking, faster decision-making, and enhanced creativity?"   Well, you should be amazed to know that chess has existed for over 1500 years, and guess what? It originated from our motherland, India. This game was initially called ‘Chaturanga.’ Almost everyone knows what chess is and what its pieces are—and according to my observations, ‘The Queen’ is the piece that everyone is most fond of. But here’s a fact!     The Queen's Chess Upgrade! Once, the queen in chess was pretty weak, moving just one square diagonally. But in the late 15th century, thanks to Queen Isabella of Spain, she got a major boost! Now she could move any distance in any direction, making the game way faster and way more intense.   ...

Adwit Part3- "आत्मचिन्तनम्"

Aatmachintanam: A Friendly Tale of Self-Realization In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to lose touch with the most important person—ourselves. "Aatmachintanam," a poem written in Sanskrit, is a friendly and whimsical exploration of self-realization. It invites readers, both young and old, to take a moment and reflect on the glimpses of their true selves that emerge every now and then. With a lighthearted approach, this poem encourages us to be confident in who we are, reminding us that no matter where we are in life, the essence of self is always there—just waiting to be rediscovered. Join me as we dive into this gentle tale of introspection, where self-doubt takes a backseat, and certainty in one’s own being leads the way. ।।आत्मचिन्तनम् ।।

The Neurobiology of Creativity - pt 3 Exploring realms of neuroscience,my way!

Image
Hey! Do you see a tiny bulb lighting up when you get an idea? Or when you create something? I usually find myself in awe when I see a toddler lost in the wonder of a random scribble they made, and they're so proud of themselves! The gratification they feel is so pure—without even knowing what 'creativity' is! Creativity is a fascinating aspect of human life. Creativity romanticizes our life! And as a writer, I tell you, there's no way that 'creativity' comes up voluntarily. It is the most unexpected, volatile thing that happens to humans. I recently learned about people's views on creativity. Of course, there are mixed views about it, and some are underconfident. This made me think about the neuroscience behind creativity so that, by cracking the concept, we can either try enhancing the creativity we have or uncovering aspects of one we already behold! What is Creativity? My fetched words describe it as: " Potential to transform ." Alright, three...

To whomever it may concern..Letter 1- To younger self

Image
Dear Younger Me, I hope everything is going well. Well, if it’s not, enjoy it. No, I have not gone mad—maybe I’ve just matured. Or if being mature sounds like this, then yes, I am. I’ve learned something new: imperfection isn’t bad. I know people around you shout at you when you don’t do things perfectly, but here’s a little secret—they cannot do perfect things all the time either. They don’t always say the perfect things or listen perfectly to everyone. And yes, there’s hardly anyone who is perfect. But let me tell you this: the honest feeling of wanting to be what you want to be is beautiful and full of spirit. It may not be “perfect” according to others, but what you define for yourself is perfect. You will fail at times, and that too is perfect. A time will come when you feel low about yourself, and that’s perfect as well. I just want to tell you: find peace. For you, peace may mean working for what you want. It may be music, food, or whatever (even perfection). You will be...
