Wonders around me part 17- "Learning from Life's Blunders: The Art of Pointing Out Mistakes with Grace"
Hey there, everyone! Today, I want to discuss life lessons and how they can help us grow into better people. We've all had those moments where we mess up and learn something important from it. Those moments shape us and make us stronger. And don't forget, we can all share our lessons with others and help them. We're all in this together! And, we have to admit this: we love advising. Setbacks are amongst the ultimate rules of the game of life. We all have setbacks, which in turn, ignite us when we grasp the mistake, accurately. Not to expect much from yourself, though. Sometimes the biggest lessons of your life, may not come through your mistakes, or through things that happen in your life. People around you have a very decisive role in it. Also, you can always learn from people around you.
Have you ever thought about how the people around us play a role in our learning journey? It's fascinating to see how their actions can have consequences, and our minds become more aware of what to do and what not to do. Our brains are truly remarkable in that way! And even though we may be wise and experienced, sometimes we all need a little bit of encouragement and kindness to help us face or go through something life's challenges. After all, sharing is one of the most beautiful things about being human. It's a fact that humans share experiences, and these experiences provide life lessons that can't be found in any book or course. I always say, is humans who can understand humans better. So if your problem is people, your solution is the people. To foster a culture of growth and development, it is crucial to develop proficiency in providing constructive feedback, expressing oneself authentically, and being receptive to one's shortcomings. By facilitating the process of learning from mistakes and offering guidance, we can encourage others to reciprocate with empathy and support.
There are various types of pointing out mistakes: Some people just have to use a loud voice. Yes, it can be authorativebut man, that can be hurtful. Some just laugh out loud. The LOL gang. Their whole aim is to make you feel guilty about your mistake so that you don’t dare to repeat it by chance. Some will ask you multiple questions and intentionally interrogate you so that you say out your mistakes. Some will wait for the right time, and tell you in the most gentle way possible! Such gems help you embrace your mistakes and lessons positively. I refer to them as ‘Gems’ because such people are hard to find. But these all kinds are just wonderful. I mean such a variety of gaining lessons! That is why we are the smartest beings. Ways might be different, but ultimately, it’s we who learn.
I've noticed that some people can be pretty hard on others when they make a mistake. But that kind of negativity can make it tough for the person who messed up to learn and grow. It's not like we should be thrilled to make mistakes, but we should remember that they're a natural part of life. So let's try to be understanding and kind to ourselves and others when things go wrong. It's okay to feel a little unsure about mistakes or tough situations sometimes, but if we can accept them and help others do the same, we'll be able to handle them like pros. We'll talk more about how inner peace can help with all this in future parts of this series. We need to acknowledge and respect all human emotions, as this is what distinguishes us from machines. While technology can provide us with practical and logical skills, it is our emotions that make us truly human. Experiences of sorrow, happiness, empathy, guilt, embarrassment, confidence, and insecurity all offer valuable lessons that help shape us into better individuals.
Many times, it takes losing something or someone to truly appreciate its value. We may also occasionally overestimate the worth of certain things. We can learn great social lessons from our behaviour and by observing those around us. This is simply human nature. It is okay to take time to embrace these lessons. Remember, it is important to acknowledge and embrace the lessons life teaches us and to help others grow in the process!
