Chanakyashreyika Chapter 1- ‘Wanting to learn’

During the remaining part of the day and night, one should revise previously learnt lessons, reinforce what has already been grasped, and repeatedly listen to what has not yet been properly understood.” Kautilya’s arthashastra 1.5.15

अथ सारः— यथा सारंविना अध्ययनं च ज्ञानप्राप्तीच्छारहितम् , तथा अनन्ताकाशे नक्षत्राणां दिनेदिने स्वगृहात् गणनम् इव;

 Learning is good, being able to learn is better, and wanting to learn is the best thing that has happened to mankind. With due respect, the thought Acharya Chanakya has put forth here in Prathamakhanda, chapter 5, ‘वृद्धसंयोगः’, is worth considering. There are specific parts of the most treasured thing: time dedicated to learning. I must say, we should take away from this that every day we should focus on one thing to learn, one thing to revise, and one thing to memorise, which will help us reach our goals. Try it for yourself. Nothing should be spoon-fed if you dream of being the best in whatever field you are in; be brave enough first. Show readiness. Show a willingness to learn. Without it, there is no use or scope for the dreams you see. Start and implement. Many of the younger generation are lost nowadays; nothing can be more disastrous for society than aimless young minds; such a country will have no future.

 First, judge yourself and your wanting to learn, plan and choose what, and for how to- Remember what Chanakya says. Learn.Revise.Memorise and from my side add a further step- apply. Whatever it may be- maths, science, fine arts, literally you name it. Just go for it. And develop that wanting for learning. A simile I would present – “Learning without the actual essence of it and wanting is like counting stars from one place every day, you will feel a lot is being done, but the truth is ‘zero’.”

Firstly congratulations from the bottom of my heart for selecting Chankya: the all time proficiency to look at for guidance.
Sadly no one in the education line mentions him or his theories which actually are helpful in every stage of learning.
Secondly a round of applause for Sanskrit. As you mentioned a point "from you" in the writeup, Apply- you did it perfectly well dear. I, who very rarely reads sanskrit text now, though did during my education, was able to understand everything clearly.
It proves your point, though can not compose a sentence can understand one, means if learned whole-heartedly remains forever with you.
Well explained in a beautiful way with duo of languages.
